Airpods are wireless earbuds that are connected via Bluetooth. It was created by Apple and was launched on December 13, 2016. After the launch in 2019, the second generation of the AirPods was released. It is the most popular product of Apple which gained popularity within two years of its launch. In the latter 2019, the Pro upgrade of the AirPods was launched. The airports included many features like noise cancellation, inbuilt microphone, and accessing Siri. It has a longer talk time and hands-free Hey Siri support. Airports Pro can support any device which has Bluetooth. You can use the AirPods pro with Windows and Android. Some features are only available in Apple devices such as switching between devices. Airpods are the best earbuds right now in the market but some users have complained about the AirPods not connecting to their devices.

Reasons for Airpods Not Connecting Issue

Bluetooth- Bluetooth can be the reason for the connection issue. When the Bluetooth doesn’t connect properly then the AirPods don’t connect. Due to problems in the connection, many issues can arise with the AirPods like one AirPod may not connect or both of them will not connect.

Compatibility- AirPods are not compatible with every version of MAC. Due to the compatibility issues, the Airpods can’t connect to the MACOS properly. 1st generation AirPods are only compatible with macOS Sierra or later, whereas the 2nd generation AirPods require macOS 10.14.4 Mojave or later. AirPods Pro is only compatible with macOS 10.15.1 Catalina or later. If you are trying to connect your AirPods with the devices that do not meet the said requirements.

Hardware- The last reason can be a fatal hardware defect. Sometimes due to the carelessness of the user or product defect, the AirPods may not connect. To correct the hardware faults you need to visit your nearest apple store. This fault can be only cured by technicians. Do not try to correct it yourself.

How To Fix AirPods Not Connecting Issue?

Below are all working methods to fix Airpods Not Connecting issue on iPhone and Mac. Follow steps kindly and share your views.

Method 1- Bluetooth

Step 1- Open Settings on your iPhone.

Step 2- Go to the Bluetooth settings.

Steps 3- You will see your Airpods connected there, click on the ‘i’ button beside the label.

Step 4- Click on the ‘i’ button. Click on the forget this device button.

Step 5- On MAC, Go to preferences and then find Bluetooth.

Step 6- The Bluetooth windows will open and there will be the name of your AirPods listed.

Step 7- Click the x button beside the name of your AirPods.

Step 8- By this, your device will forget your Airpods.

Step 9- Now, reconnect AirPods with your system.

Step 10- put your both your AirPods in the case and close the lid.

Step 11- wait for 30 seconds and hold the setup button until it flashes white.

Step 12- go near your Mac or iPhone and open the lid to repair with your device.

Method 2- Stereo balance in iPhone

Step 1- go to the settings menu.

Step 2- look for the accessibility option.

Step 3- in the accessibility window scroll down to select the hearing option.

Step 4- go to the audio/visual window.

Step 5- Check the balance of the slider. There will be two labels for L and R the slider is in between them, otherwise, it will not be balanced.

Method 3- Stereo balance in MAC

Step 1- go to settings and after that look for the sound options.

Step 2- in the output menu look for your AirPods and select them.

Step 3- and make sure the slider between the L and R are balanced or is in between of them.

Step 4- Now go to the system preferences.

Step 5- after that look for accessibility and open the accessibility window.

Step 6- disable the mono audio option.

Method 4- output device

Step 1- first of all check if the device is connected with the AirPods.

Step 2- in your Mac go to system preferences.

Step 3- Now look for the sounds option and select it.

Step 4- select the output tab in the sounds window.

Step 5- check if the output device is selected to be the AirPods.

Method 5- Mac OS compatibility

Step 1- click on the Apple icon placed in the top left corner of the screen.

Step 2- now select the about this Mac option.

Step 3- in the about this Mac window, click on the overview tab.

Step 4- click on the software update button to check the Mac OS version of your system.

Step 5- or you can also update your system if there are any pending updates.
